This is the big question that I get asked by high school seniors and their parents, "When's the best time to book my senior portraits?" I'm going to break it down for you by season but then give you my secret for the best time of year.
Summer Senior Sessions:
Summers are great. You might have a nice tan, weather cooperates most of the time and it's the best time to get in the water! If you love water sports, think kayaking, paddling board, wake boarding, summer is for you. Most kids have more free time in the summer so scheduling is a little easier too. For most high schools this is a great time to get your senior photos in time for the yearbook.
Fall Senior Portraits:
All the colors! Fall is beautiful. Add in fall sports like football, cheer, soccer, cross country and volleyball and you'll know why this is a popular time. Plus there is still time to get that yearbook photo.
Winter Senior Pics:
Winter is full of activities that often get forgotten in senior photos. Snowboarding, skiing and the winter sports; swim team, basketball and wrestling. It's also often a time for theater productions.
Spring Senior Pictures:
Spring has so many beautiful flowers. We've got spring sports; track and field, softball, baseball, golf and tennis. It's also an incredibly exciting time with prom and graduation.
And the Winner is....
Boomerang Sessions All Year Long
Now you can have the best of every season with boomerang sessions!
What's a boomerang session?
FIRST you book your full regular senior session, I highly recommend doing that right away. I start booking as early as April of your junior year.
NEXT you can book additional mini sessions throughout the year called boomerang sessions. They are only $49 and you can add the images to your senior portrait collection, wall art selection and your album. This way your senior portraits really represent you and showcase your entire senior year.
Conclusion: Book your session right away and know you won't be missing out on any part of your senior year with your boomerang sessions.
